About Me
Hello everyone!
My name is Allison Woldstad, and I have dedicated my life to helping dogs and their owners build healthier, more connected lives together through communication, structure, understanding, and real-world training.
My love for animals has always been a huge part of who I am, but my passion for dog behavior truly began when I was 16 years old and started working at a dog kennel. During my 8 years there, I quickly realized I wasn’t just drawn to dogs themselves — I became deeply fascinated by behavior, psychology, communication, and understanding why dogs do what they do
One of the most life-changing moments in my journey came when a rescue dog struggling with severe dog aggression came through the kennel without a home. I decided to take him in because I was determined to help him find balance and stability while also learning everything I could throughout the process. That experience completely changed the trajectory of my life and ultimately inspired me to pursue dog training professionally (picture of him and I below).
In 2016, I left home to attend The National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Ohio, where I became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. During my time there, I received education and hands-on experience in:
• Basic and advanced obedience (on and off leash)
• Behavior modification
• Reactivity and aggression cases
• Confidence building
• Tracking and trailing
• Protection training
• Assistance dog training
• K9 handling and communication systems
Over the past 10+ years, I have continued dedicating myself to studying dog behavior, communication, rehabilitation, and real-world training applications. I strongly believe that continuing education is one of the most important responsibilities of a trainer, and I have spent years studying multiple philosophies and approaches within the dog training world to better understand how to help the individual dog standing in front of me.
While I take a balanced approach to training, I heavily emphasize relationship-building, communication, emotional regulation, confidence building, engagement, and positive reinforcement throughout the learning process. My work today focuses heavily on helping dogs and owners better understand each other while creating calmer, safer, and more successful everyday lives together.
I specialize in:
• Reactivity and behavior rehabilitation
• Nervous system regulation and emotional balance
• Advanced obedience and off-leash reliability
• Real-world lifestyle integration
• Confidence building
• Owner education and communication
• Modern communication-style E-Collar training
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide variety of dogs, temperaments, behavioral challenges, and owner lifestyles. Over time, my business has intentionally evolved toward a more relationship-centered and owner-involved training experience through private coaching and hybrid training programs because I believe long-term success happens when both the dog and owner are educated, supported, and actively involved throughout the process.
I understand firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to struggle with your dog, especially when behavioral issues begin affecting everyday life, relationships, confidence, and emotional well-being. One of my biggest goals is helping owners feel understood, supported, and empowered rather than judged throughout the training process.
Above all else, my mission is to help create calmer, safer, more connected relationships between dogs and their owners while providing realistic, compassionate, and sustainable training solutions that truly improve everyday life.

My Mission
At K9University, our mission is to help dogs and their owners create healthier, more connected lives together through communication, structure, education, and relationship-centered training.
