K9University’s Hybrid Training Programs are designed to combine the benefits of professional hands-on training with owner involvement and coaching. Unlike traditional board and train programs, hybrid training allows dogs to receive structured training repetition, real-world exposure, confidence building, and professional guidance during the day while still allowing owners to remain actively involved throughout the process.
 

These programs are ideal for owners who:
• Feel overwhelmed or inconsistent with training
• Want additional hands-on support
• Have busy schedules
• Want faster progress and accountability
• Need help generalizing behaviors into real-world environments
• Want guidance beyond weekly lessons alone
 

During day train days, dogs work directly with K9University on customized training goals through structured sessions, environmental exposure, confidence building, obedience work, and real-world practice. Owners then participate in private coaching sessions to learn how to properly maintain and apply training at home and in everyday life.
 

At K9University, we believe long-term success happens when both the dog and owner are educated, supported, and actively involved in the process.
 

Hybrid Training Important Notes:
• Hybrid training is not daycare or overnight boarding
• Owners remain an essential part of the training process
• Day train scheduling is limited and based on current availability
• Hybrid programs are currently offered during designated training weeks
• Dogs must be crate trained or comfortable safely resting between training rotations
• Additional training days may be available for existing clients based on scheduling and availability
 

All Hybrid Programs Include:
• Written training recaps and homework
• Access to K9University educational resources and guides
• Ongoing communication and support throughout the program
• Customized training plans based on individual dog and owner needs

TRAVEL & SERVICE AREA

K9University currently offers in-home training sessions within 30 minutes of our training location (Burnsville MN) at no additional charge.

Locations outside of the included service area may be subject to the following travel fees:

• 30–45 Minutes Away: +$15 Travel Fee Per Session
• 45–60 Minutes Away: +$25 Travel Fee Per Session

At this time, K9University does not travel beyond 60 minutes from our training location.

 

**Clients are always welcome to travel to K9University’s training location to avoid additional travel fees.**
